Tips on preparing for your Cruise experience

St Hilda Sea Adventures holidays departs from Holy Loch Marina, near Dunoon in Argyll on the West Coast of Scotland. 

Boarding: Please be aware that it is not possible to board your vessel before the boarding time as the boat is still being made ready for you. Boarding time is 3pm.  The boat normally sets off about an hour after boarding and we will not leave without you!  You will disembark at 11am of the last day of your holiday

Getting to the St Hilda at Holy Loch Marina, near Dunoon: We are happy to help you with local travel information, so please do get in touch if you need more detailed advice.

By train: from Glasgow Central Station, there are regular trains to Dunoon via Gourock where you board the Caledonian MacBrayne ferry to Dunoon.


By air: a free transfer to Holy Loch Marina from Glasgow airport is available on the Saturday at 1pm.  If you arrive by air and wish to spend time in Glasgow, the airport bus takes 20 minutes to the City Centre


By bus: from Buchanan Street Bus Station there are regular buses which take you to the Western Ferry for Dunoon which departs every 20 minutes


By car: Coming from the south, Holy Loch Marina is approximately an hour from Glasgow Airport.  You will cross the Clyde at Gourock on Western Ferries. Free parking is available at Holy Loch Marina which is secured by locked gates at night.
